Bekele is a quality-focused producer whose farm in Murago at 2350 meters produced the 15th place Cup of Excellence coffee in 2022. The father of 11 children from one wife, Bekele brought in his Belaye, his eldest son at 24 and fourth child, to manage his drying station in Murago where he produces natural and anaerobic natural coffee. This particular lot is natural process coffee, whereby the coffee is dried on raised beds whole in the fruit. 

Brewing Method Recommendation: Espresso and filter brew are our favorites methods for this tropical coffee.

      • Temp · 203F
      • Ratio: 16 to 1 Water to Coffee for a full bodied cup. Use a little more water up to 17:1 ratio if you like the more delicate florals and lighter tropical notes to come through or take it down to 15:1 if you like syrupy coffee.
      • Brew Time: 4:00 is a good starting point
